ROADS & CC PAVEMENTS
• The Final Report from Principal Secretary to Government & CIP, Industries & Commerce Department on CC Roads at Jawahar Autonagar is received vide letter No.18942/INF/A2/2007, dated 28-10-2009
• vide letter dated 17-03-2010 compliance report was sent to Principal Secretary & CIP, Industries & Commerce Department for information

STORM WATER DRAINS
• About 65% work was completed.
• As per the decision taken in the 22nd Board Meeting of Vijayawada Auto Cluster the work was referred to R&B Quality Control Department for 3rd Party Inspection.
• R&B Quality Control Department carried out the work and the report is awaited

WATER SUPPLY
• The internal distribution lines and intake lines up to ELSR are completed and waiting for Bulk Meter Connections from Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. The project is expected to be completed by end April 2010.

EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT
• The civil works are completed partially and the same were referred 3rd Party Inspection of Quality Control Department (R&B) as per the decision taken in the 22nd Board Meeting of VACDCL.
• R&B Quality Control Department had given report with an advise to follow the recommendations of the M/s. Siddhartha Engineering College to keep the building structurally safe and presently the work is in progress and scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2010 and the machinery will be erected within 15 days after completion of civil work. The probable date of commission of ETP will be by the end of May 2010.

COMMON TESTING & MACHINERY CENTER
• Sub soil was found weak (Black Cotton Soil) while executing building work by the Contractor and the soil was tested immediately wherein the strength of the soil was found very weak and suitable alterations were made in the design of foundations and the work was completed immediately as the foundation was already open.
• In this connection show-cause issued to the Project Management Consultants on 7th September 2009 and 5th March 2010 regarding the primary design with which the work order was issued to the contractor was found to be defective as PMC had not conducted detailed soil test reports, preparation of design and estimates.
• As per the decision taken in the 20th Board Meeting of VACDCL the design was forwarded to M/s. Siddhartha Engineering College for validation.
• As per the decision taken in the 24th Board Meeting of VACDCL 3rd Party Inspection is to be done by R&B Quality Control Department for Quality and Quantity as per revised design.
• Accordingly R&B Quality Control Department carried out inspection and gave their detailed report on Quality and Quantity on civil works.
• As per the R&B Quality Control Department Inspection Report on Common Critical Machinery Center is in order and as far as Common Testing Center is considered before starting the work the structural design may be checked.

TRADE CENTER
• Tender Notification issued three times for the Trade Center Building in leading newspapers with SSR 2006-07 and SSR 2007-08. But there is no response from the contractors.
• Now the line estimate was prepared with SSR 2009-10 by company Civil Engineer and forwarded to Structural Engineer for preparation of Structural Designs.
• The structural design from Structural Engineer is received on 31-03-2010 and the same was forwarded to JNTU, Hyderabad for proof checking and further action will be taken after proof checking from JNTU.

MACHINERY / EQUIPMENT
• Purchase orders were released to various Machinery / Suppliers on 31-03-2008 i.e.

(i) Total value of equipments finalized by CMTI / Board Meeting: : Rs. 583.00 lakhs
(ii) Value of purchase orders already released : Rs. 571.40 lakhs
(iii) Payment made : Rs. 392.00 lakhs
(iv) Value of purchase orders yet to be released : Rs. 11.88 lakhs

• Some of the Machinery received and kept at temporary rented premises with insurance coverage.
• As per the decision taken in the 25Th Board Meeting of VACDCL, rented premises for the Machinery was finalized and will be placed in the ensuing Board Meeting for approval.
